Job Description
As a member of the SKECHERS USA, Inc. Retail Marketing team, this role will contribute to the overall sales growth and expansion of the retail stores.
This role will primarily be responsible for the planning and execution of all domestic store promotions to increase traffic, sales, and conversion. They will collaborate with Data Analytics to provide analysis of campaigns and report to management to make better decisions and maximize results. The Retail Marketing Manager will also ensure that stores are supported with the marketing collateral they need to successfully execute promotions.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS-
- Partner with the Merchandising Team, Visual, Ops, and Digital to develop and implement sales and marketing campaigns to drive traffic to retail stores and increase revenue for the retail division.
- Prototypes and develops new promotional signage to call attention to specific product, communicate value, or shape the new shopping experience in an ever-changing world.
- Evaluate campaigns with written analysis. Analyze data to support marketing programs and initiatives and make recommendations based on results.
- Develop budget for promotional campaigns and marketing collateral. Accountable for monitoring expenses closely to ensure campaigns stay within budget.
- Manage inventory of marketing toolkit collateral across all store types to ensure it is adequate to support the needs of current and new stores.
- Work in tandem with the Operations department to communicate promotions to office and field and provide clear execution expectations.
- Reviews initial Marketing supply orders for all new/expansion/relocation domestic stores and partner with NSO Coordinators to ensure Marketing standards are being followed.
- Translates corporate marketing initiatives into programs for the Retail stores.
- Travel Skechers retail stores to ensure execution and provide written reports and recaps.
- Travel competitor stores and report on current promotions. Look for new and innovative ways to improve our business. Provide written reports and recaps.
- Maintain a Marketing Standards Guide and work with the Operations department to ensure stores are following guidelines.
- Work closely with Graphics department to develop creative and manage the process from inception to execution. Ensure that deadlines are met.
- Create and maintain a 6-month marketing and promotions calendars for domestic stores.
- Coach and lead a Marketing Coordinator(s), overseeing projects and career growth development. Reviews, provide feedback, and approves memos, distros, and artwork.
- Other special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
JOB REQUIREMENTS-
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- Ability to perform detailed quantitative analysis on marketing campaigns to judge effectiveness.
- Ability to lead, provide support and discipline.
- Self-starter with a disciplined work-ethic.
- Flexibility to change and adapt.
- Excellent time management skills. Able to juggle multiple projects at the same time.
- Able troubleshoot issues and find solutions to complex problems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE-
- 3-5 years retail marketing, buying, planning, or equivalent analytics experience.
- Advanced Excel skills with advanced understanding of retail math.
- Experience managing multiple long-term projects and workflows.
- Direct management experience with responsibility of training, growing, and developing subordinates.
- BS in business or marketing or related field is preferred, but not required.
- Highly Proficient in MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Photoshop, Illustrator, and In-Design skills a plus.

Pay range for this position is $80k – $95k / year.
