Share your passion for community service, volunteer strategy and engagement as the City and County of Broomfield (CCOB) Volunteer Coordination Specialist! The Volunteer Coordination Specialist will join the Communications and Engagement team – a fun, collaborative team that values curiosity, creativity, community and creative problem-solving.
This full-time, non-exempt position is generally scheduled 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Position includes excellent benefits; please see the benefits tab for details.
Hiring Range: $28.08 – $33.04/hour
Salary Range: $28.08 – $38.00/hour

Essential Required Tasks/Examples of Duties
The Volunteer Coordination Specialist will be responsible for the administration of CCOB’s comprehensive volunteer program and the execution of communications, outreach and engagement strategies. Responsibilities include:
- Driving organization-wide volunteer strategy and processes
- Assisting department volunteer liaisons with volunteer program organization, objectives, training, and troubleshooting
- Administering CCOB’s VolunteerHub platform, the City and County’s volunteer database and scheduling platform
- Supporting volunteer recognition, including the coordination of CCOB’s annual Volunteer Appreciation
- Marketing CCOB volunteer programs and volunteer recruitment
- Managing the Broomfield Pals volunteer program
- Educating, informing and building relationships with Broomfield’s audiences through digital marketing and outreach activities
Minimum Qualifications
Training – Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, social sciences, communications or a closely related field.
Experience – At least two years of professional experience in volunteer management and at least one of the following: program coordinating, non-profit sector, event planning, marketing, and/or communications. Experience must include demonstrated understanding of volunteer management and communications campaign implementation. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Vietnamese or Mandarin preferred.

Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides evidence that the applicant possesses the Necessary Applicant Traits.
