DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Persons in these positions will assist with the administration of a suite of Federal Emergency Management Agency and other funding streams to assist communities in determining project-type eligibilities, developing applications, awarding and administering of funds, execution of awarded projects and the closeout activities required by federal, state, county and local entities. These actions provided will either eliminate or reduce risks to life and property from various forms of hazards within the commonwealth.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time limited term employment, 2 years with the possibility of being extended
- Work hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- May be required to work 12 hour shifts during emergency activation.
- Travel throughout the Commonwealth may be required.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, after successful completion of a comprehensive on-site training period and the completion of all required PEMA and FEMA trainings. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience in the development, coordination, or promotion of emergency-related programs such as disaster relief, public safety, and emergency management in government, industry, education, or the military; and a bachelor’s degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
