The Government Vehicle Health Management Systems (GVHMS) Team is looking for an Associate or Mid-Level software verification engineer with experience in setting up databases and server environments. The GVHMS software acquires and manages aircraft health and usage data, performs health and usage assessment, updates aircraft configuration and recommends maintenance actions. The team is looking for a highly motivated and experienced engineer to work with our internal test and hardware team to integrate our software product onto a fleet represented server environment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oracle Database Administrator
  • Oracle System Administrator
  • Data Modeling and Design
  • Verification/Validation support for infrastructure deployments
  • PL/SQL (Procedural Language extensions to the Structured Query Language)
  • Shell Scripting
  • Troubleshoot environment issues during software installations and server upgrades
  • Server/environment setup
  • Data migration from one asset/environment to another
  • System integration and architectures
  • Software engineering or database administration experience, including knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and client-server and web-based architectures, is desirable

Export Control

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry .
  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Server Operating Systems setup and configuration
  • 1+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator supporting corporate databases including installing, configuring, tuning, troubleshooting and/or upgrading Oracle databases (RDBMS versions10g, 11g, 12c and higher)
  • Experience using Oracle/SQL for application interactions with databases
  • Experience functioning in a cross-functional environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of higher education and/or related work experience (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.)
  • Experience with Software Testing or Software Verification

Typical Education/ Experience:

Associate Level

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Mid-Level

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Hybrid/Telecommute :

This Hybrid position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. (St. Louis, MO.)

Associate level Summary pay range: $85,000 – $115,000

Mid-level Summary pay range: $104,550 – $141,450
