Field Lighting Analyst

Base Compensation Range is $65,000 – $90,000. The role will offer an incentive plan.

This role has been designatedas Hybrid – Flex for yourday. While most work must bedone on-site, there is flexibilityto work remotely whenworkflow and priorities allow.*The Company reserves theright to modify this designationshould business needs require.

Job Responsibilities:

The Field Lighting Analyst will be assisting in the auditing, specification and design of energy efficiency lighting projects in the Southeast Region. Typical projects will be lighting retrofit and lighting control projects in the K-12, Industrial, Healthcare, and Local Gov’t verticals.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Key Result: Timely and accurate site audits

Key Action:

  • Gathers and validates preliminary information and performs facility walkthrough, construction plan review
  • Determines and communicates project needs, constraints, and responsibilities to meet all of the customer’s lighting system design and installation requirements
  • Compiles data and notes from field observations in a timely and accurate manner for project team to review and make decisions

Key Result: Establishes Rapport

Key Action:

  • Supports Development team to ensure Customer and Energy Services team expectations are met
  • Works as part of a team to efficiently execute project scope
  • Develops relationships as needed with multiple influences in the project “chain”, including facility managers, project managers, project engineers, contractors, manufacturers rep agencies and distributor partners

Key Result: Design Expertise

Key Action:

  • Communicate effectively with internal Project Managers and external contractors pre, mid and post project to continuously improve design implementation
  • Work with Company customized software to develop economic model of turnkey project which will include: energy savings, material cost, installation, utility rebates, return on investment, tax benefits, maintenance benefits, etc.
  • Master software programs to simulate and project light levels of post retrofit lighting conditions
  • Understand and be able to work with territory specific rebate programs and integrate into project
  • Ability to consider a project from different vantage points i.e. contractor, customer, building inhabitants etc., and able to capture this information to customize design and implementation
  • Assists project manager with punch list items as lighting projects come to a close.
  • Minimum Required Training or Equivalent Field Experience:

Professional Development

  • S/T New Hire General Industry Training

The following TCDT courses or equivalent field experience:

  • Two or four-year technical degree (engineering, engineering-related or construction-related) OR four or more years lighting / electrical experience
  • Strong technical aptitude LEED, LC or energy management certification experience preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience in the lighting audit or project management capacity preferred
  • Experience with energy auditing or commercial lighting a plus
  • Strong client focused skills and proven ability to develop strong relationships
  • Ability to work with internal associates to ensure execution of all lighting projects
  • Strong technical aptitude LEED, LC or energy management certification experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • The majority of a regular workday requires sitting, walking, and standing.
  • Excellent speaking, hearing as well as good vision.
  • May be required to climb ladders, carry/ lift 40lbs.
