Transmission and Distribution Craft Electrician

Summary:

Performs the maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic systems on Wind Farm, Battery Storage, and Substation construction sites.

Requirements:

  • Experienced with MV cable installation and terminations.
  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
  • Follow drawings to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
  • Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment including oscilloscopes, ammeters, and test lamps.
  • Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment.
  • Represents the company to meet contractual requirements.
  • Responsible to ensure SAFETY requirements must be met.
  • Regular attendance is an essential requirement of the job.
  • Follow any other job-related duties/functions requested by the supervisor.
  • General knowledge operating equipment Mini Ex, Skid steer
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of various wiring methods including Control Wiring SCADA/PLC
  • LV terms and the ability to read schematics/wiring drawings.
  • Medium Voltage Cabling Terminations is a plus (not required)
  • Ability to operate vehicles and equipment associated with the electrical trade
  • Familiarity with safety rules, OSHA, and first aid procedures
  • Have a valid driver license with a clean driving record
  • Must be willing to travel

Qualifications:

  • REQUIRED: EL-1J Journeyman
  • Must provide copy of current license.
  • Minimum 2 years heavy construction experience.
  • Drug testing and background investigation required.
  • Available for mandatory overtime on a weekly basis.

Anticipated base salary range: $34.00 – $38.00

The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
