What Your Job Will Be Like
Are you interested in applying Talent Acquisition (TA) expertise to help implement and guide project frameworks, ensuring a holistic, cohesive, and inclusive approach to TA initiatives that will help tackle complex national security challenges? If so, Organization 03540, Talent Acquisition, is currently seeking a Distinguished Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their team!
The selected candidate will establish standard tracking, communication, and prioritization methods that will be utilized for all TA projects, while facilitating efficient identification of priority, status, and progress of these efforts. Continued enhancement and maturation of these approaches and resources are critical to TA’s continued improvement and accelerated advancement as trusted consultative partners to Sandia National Laboratories’ hiring teams.
On any given day, one may be called upon to:
- Ensure all TA, necessary HR members, and customers are fully informed and aligned with key TA objectives
- Support the development and deployment of a TA project portfolio that is tied to overall critical TA projects and objectives
- Shape and deliver more streamlined and foundational approaches to overall TA projects and initiatives
- Establish standardized project approaches to ensure cohesion of efforts across TA
- Partner with Senior Management to identify process improvement opportunities; align approaches to policy, process lead(s), and TA Training Lead(s)
- Enhance collaboration and establish consistent resources (e.g., meeting notes, templates for presentations, communications, and updates, task assignments and tracking, and file sharing)
- Enable knowledge transfer when adding new resources to projects and/or sharing/handing off project work within project teams
- Provide documentation of historical discussions, considerations, and decisions to minimize duplication and/or future rework of items
- Align and prioritize TA projects and goals to the Senior Manager’s vision; ensure projects are on time and deliverables are met
The selected applicant can be a remote worker located in any U.S. State or District of Columbia. Regular or periodic travel to your assigned work location may be required.
Salary Range
$101,400 – $172,300
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, plus 12 years directly related experience; or a Master’s degree a relevant field, plus 8 year directly related experience; or equivalent experience and/or achievements that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job
- Experience in Talent Acquisition
- The ability to acquire and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance
Qualifications We Desire
- Experience and expertise across Talent Acquisition functions, including the ability to recognize and support agile/organizational effectiveness and policy/process expertise and improvement
- The ability to provide cross-functional collaboration, ensuring projects across TA are tracked, prioritized, and reported up to the Senior Manager and throughout TA as a whole
- Significant HR and TA experience and an understanding of operations in a matrixed environment
- The ability to manage multiple priorities, utilize strong organizational skills, and help develop innovative approaches to partnership, project work, and systems utilization
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement activities, change management, and project coordination, prioritization, facilitation, framework, and planning
- The ability to model behaviors that reflect Sandia’s core values

NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs
If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
