We are looking for a Solutions Architect to join the LMI team to engage with clients, get to the root of their challenges, and shape their vision into LMI offerings. You will work on diverse use cases across all of LMI’s Markets, leverage existing solutions in various stages of the development lifecycle, and surface ideas for new prototypes and offerings.

This role will require an individual who can effectively communicate the company’s technical capabilities to potential customers and who can help to design and implement full-stack solutions (including data operations, data science, software, and platforms) to meet customer needs. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a proven track record of success in a technical sales, sales engineering, or solution architect role.

Responsibilities

  • Design and architect custom data operations, data science, software, and/or platform solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Manage complex technical interactions among clients and LMI teams, driving success into sales, development, and execution of LMI work.
  • Work with LMI’s development teams to ensure that proposed solutions are feasible and that they align with the company’s technical capabilities.
  • Foster positive working relationships with development teams, academic and industry partners, and LMI leadership.
  • Work across LMI’s Markets and CTO organization to identify and qualify new business opportunities within the Federal government.
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to potential customers to showcase LMI’s technical capabilities and solutions.
  • Act as a technical liaison between the customer and LMI throughout the sales process.
  • Provide input and feedback to product development teams to inform research, prototyping, and product development priorities.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data science, data operations, software engineering, and/or platform engineering.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical sales, sales engineering, or solution architect role, preferably within the Federal government market.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience with data science, data operations, software engineering, and cloud-based computing.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to obtain a secuirty clearance at any time is required due to the nature of the work. Please note: Only US Citizens can obtain security clearances.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Space domain experience and understanding in multiple areas of: astrodynamics; orbital mechanics; rendezvous and proximity operations; satellite communications; missile warning/missile defense; space-based positioning, navigation and timing; remote sensing; environmental monitoring; command and control; battle management; and space domain awareness; orbital warfare experience
  • Relevant joint space warfighting experience in an operational, science and technology, or operational test organization
  • Background in orbital mechanics, space situational awareness, or space control

Target salary range: $124,000 – $222,000. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.
