IT Logistics Sourcing Manager, Technology, Sourcing and Infrastructure (TSI)

Amazon is seeking an IT Hardware Logistics Sourcing Program Manager for the Technology Sourcing and Infrastructure Team (TSI). This role requires the ability to develop and maintain strong partnerships with key internal stakeholders to define requirements, manage 3P hardware, warehousing and transportation suppliers, and negotiate advantageous contractual terms for Amazon. This individual will also coordinate with regional teams to create and execute sourcing strategies and contracts globally.

The role includes driving cost savings, analyzing data, optimizing processes, mitigating risk, 3P qualification and managing sourcing projects for IT Services. You will run negotiations with strategic suppliers; manage RFx’s and vendor business reviews. You will scrutinize vendor-pricing structure, resolve regional anomalies, and establish consistent service offerings globally. Also, manage day-to-day supplier operational issues and meet project deadlines.

The candidate should possess strong negotiation and influencing skills. Also, analytical skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. Strong written and oral communication skills are a must.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of relevant Technology sourcing/procurement experience in a multinational corporation
  • In-depth understanding of best-in-class supply chain processes (warehouse management, transportation/logistics, etc.)
  • In-depth understanding of best-in-class procurement processes (sourcing, contracting, negotiation etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization, time management, and problem solving skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8-10 years of relevant Technology sourcing/procurement experience in a multinational corporation
  • MBA or Master’s Degree
  • Experience in Project/Program Management
  • Knowledge of warehouse logistics
  • Knowledge of various IT-Hardware technology
  • Knowledge of contract terms and conditions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interpret financial data and apply to decision making

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
