BWC is currently operating under a hybrid schedule that can incorporate both teleworking and in-office hours. Employees may be required to report to the office when requested by management &/or for their initial job training.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assisting the Safety Congress and Expo Manager in overseeing event logistics, pre-registration, onsite registration, event scheduling, educational programs, and the expo marketplace;
- Assisting in leadership and development of junior team members to create a strong, unified team culture;
- Ensuring contractual agreements of third-party vendors are met for services such as venue, hotels, registration, service contractors, audio visual and website;
- Developing and maintaining a positive relationship with all hospitality partners, vendors and Ohio Safety Congress stakeholders;
- Researching and analyzing event industry trends and best practices to develop and implement new systems, event features, policies or initiatives to increase event efficiency, effectiveness, and customer service.

Qualifications
Required Experience and/or Education:
Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position.
Or completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development.
Or 4 yrs. trg. or 4 yrs. exp. in business administration management science or public administration.
Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 1, 63122.
Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in planning and executing large conferences, trade shows, and events.
- Certified Meeting Professional (CMP)
