Responsibilities

This role will support work being done by MPS Video Production for the Department of Development. This client raises philanthropic funds from grateful patients, foundations, corporations and others to support Mayo Clinic’s mission.

Responsible for high level of administrative, logistical and technical duties in the pre-production and production of live and scripted programs. Will be responsible for creation of highly complex video programming, such as documentary, historical, Staff/employee education, patient education, executive communications, benefactor programming, news releases, long format scripted programs for staff/Physician/ consultant/scientist support and clinical documentation. These videos will have a very high level of quality with very high level of complexity. Works independently a majority of the time and utilizes and demonstrates organizational skills, creativity, self-motivation, and a high degree of production skill. Must have ability to manage multiple large projects simultaneously including budget development and management.

This position is a combination of onsite and remote work. Candidate must live within a resonable driving distance of the Rochester, MN Mayo Clinic campus.

This position is a limited tenure position with an anticipated end date of 1 year from your start date.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in a media-related field and a minimum of six (6) years’ experience in corporate video production; or ten (10) years of relevant experience.

Additional Qualifications:

Must have a high level of emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills to be able to effectively interact with senior level Mayo Clinic personnel and numerous non-Mayo professionals and benefactors. Demonstrated skills in script review, mentoring colleagues, resource management, team collaboration, and understanding of Mayo’s committee structure.
Strong familiarity with all aspects of studio and field television production, including producing and directing with significant proficiency in the use of video cameras, lighting equipment, related video production and editing. Ability to manage large video crews during major video productions. Works independently in completion of job responsibilities. Demonstrated problem-solving and organizational skills with ability to translate ideas of medical professionals into finished, high-quality programs. Demonstrated understanding and proficiency in the complete process of program development from concept through distribution and billing.
