Job Summary:
Responsible for the reception area of the salon and spa. Includes the greeting of all guests, answering phone calls, assisting guests with questions regarding salon/spa services and booking all appointments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Reception desk and/or salon/spa experience preferred.
- Fast paced environment. Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer skills.
- Must be multi task oriented.
- Must be detail oriented, friendly, outgoing and have excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to tolerate a close-knit environment with constant co-work involvement.
- Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide courteous guest service to all guests.
- Must be able to initiate and engage in conversations in a professional and friendly manner.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work well with others and as a team.
- Schedules appointments accurately.
- Must be able to handle the computer system and all cash handling procedures.
- Answer phones promptly and friendly.
- Must be able to work well under pressure.
- Knowledge of all spa treatments and salon services.
- Restock retail items.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Participate and attend in all training classes and staff meetings.
Physical, Mental & Environmental Demands:
- Able to lift items up to 10 lbs.
- Able to stand for a long period of time (up to an average 8-hour shift).
- Respond calmly in a crisis and in demanding situations handling many guests needs in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
