Description
Specific Duties:
Instruction:
- Deliver instruction utilizing ABA methodology/facilitate student learning and independence
- Assists with the creation and maintenance of instructional materials and visual supports as needed under the direction of leadership staff
- Assist with student specific instructional program development (lesson plans for DTI and naturalistic instruction, and task analyses.
Training:
- Participates in assigned training and staff development opportunities
- Provides training and feedback regarding all of the job responsibilities and expectations of non-certified staff working in the Autism Programs.
- Provides training and feedback regarding instructional and behavioral skills when paired with new staff working with students
- Train and support staff in using BIP Track and/or any other ABA software
- Assist in or lead formal training sessions for non-certified staff
- Assist in the development of formal training presentations
- Conducts ongoing procedural fidelity and instructional quality assessments and accompanying feedback to non-certified staff (ongoing training)
- Assist with the completion of RBT competency assessments
- Assist with/lead exam preparation/study sessions for non-certified staff pursuing RBT certification
Assessment:
- Records data in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner
- Reviews data regularly and notifies supervisor(s) of any relevant information
- Reviews student issues with relevant team members
- Assesses reinforcer effectiveness/conduct preference assessments as needed
- Conducts observations of students
- Conducts observations of staff
- Conducts procedural fidelity checks for on-going programs
- Conducts reliability checks on data being collected
- Assists leadership staff in analyzing behavioral and instructional data
- Assists with formal behavior analytic assessments including, but not limited to, functional assessments, skill-based assessments, and ecological assessments.
General Responsibilities:
Programmatic:
- Interacts in a positive and professional manner with students all times
- Serves as a model to others by demonstrating ABA strategies and procedures with students
- Provides guidance and support to all Autism Programs staff regarding best practices
- Assist with the acquisition and onboarding of non-certofoed staff within the Autism Programs
- Provides behavior support within the Autism Programs as directed
- Collect and maintain data as directed
- Completes all forms, reports and paperwork in a timely, efficient and accurate manner
- Assists with student scheduling
- Develop and complete yearly performance goals
- Performs all duties of Autism Programs non-certified staff (except where prohibited by licensing)
- Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)
Communication and Participation:
- Communicates relevant behavior/instructional information to team on an on-going basis
- Communicates professionally with peers and leadership staff, outside agency representatives, and parents/guardians
- Assists in leading student casings
- Attends, participates or leads staff meetings as requested
- Attends and/or participates in PPT meetings as requested
- Attends and/or participates in parent meetings as requested
Knowledge:
- Knows, understands, and complies with ACES policies and procedures

- Knows, understands, and complies with ACES ASSIST procedures and protocols
- Knows, understands, and complies with all relevant all relevant local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- Knows and complies with all regulations and guidelines of the BACB as they apply to RBT certification
- Demonstrates understanding and mastery of all concepts presented through the ACES Autism Programs Training Series
- Knows, understands, and complies with all relevant individual behavior management programs in operation
- Fluently discusses and applies applied behavior analytic concepts, principles, and methodologies
- Continues professional growth through ongoing trainings, discussions and other learning opportunities presented
- Seeks out additional training and professional development and learning opportunities
Qualifications
High School Diploma; Bachelors degree preferred
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification
Minimum 2-years relevant Autism/RBT experience preferred (implementing ABA programming with students with autism, developmental and/or emotional disabilities.)
Employment Status: 10-month position (196 days), plus mandatory ESY
