Summary:
The Financial Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing and interpreting financial data to support strategic decision-making and overall financial health of Catholic Charities. The Financial Data Analyst plays a crucial role in overseeing the financial software to provide insights, trends, and recommendations based on their analysis of financial information. The Financial Data Analyst collaborates with the CFO and other executives and department heads, to provide accurate and actionable financial insights. This position will supervise the Accounting Specialists and Financial Data Clerk.
Position Responsibilities:
- *Maintaining all financial IT systems within the Finance and Mission Advancement departments, including implementation and upgrades, and integration of all financial IT systems within the Finance and Mission Advancement departments to ensure proper recording and communication of financial data
- *Producing financial reports for all 3 agencies ensuring accuracy and completeness. Utilizing graphs, infographics and other methods to visualize data
- *This position is responsible for recruitment, hiring and training of all staff under their supervision and will make recommendations for termination of employees.
- *Analyzing, identifying, and interpreting trends in financial data for presentation to leadership
- *Formulating procedural manuals for finance department
- *Create budget templates for all agencies
- *Maintain user creation in credit card platform software.
- Assist in data collection for external financial audit
- Troubleshooting and resolving system issues
- Significant and non-routine transactions
- Must be sensitive to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
- Adhering to safety training and protocols on a daily basis, and taking precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of self, others.
- Other duties as assigned by CFO, CEO, or Vice Presidents.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree or experience equivalent in accounting or accounting related fields.
- Minimum courses in IT related fields not required but preferred.
- Experience
- Preferred 5 years’ experience in accounting with at least 2 year of experience in nonprofit and/or multi-entity or project accounting experience is preferred.
- Supervisory experience not required but preferred.
- License and Credentials
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver license, with clean driving record
- Valid vehicle insurance
Minimum Knowledge and Skills:
- Preferred 3 years’ experience in accounting including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, revenue and expense coding, and balance sheet accounts;
- Extensive working knowledge of GAAP and the general ledger;
- Experience with computer software (i.e., Intacct software preferred);
- Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office products;
- A solid grasp of cost allocations and project accounting;
- Experience with Federal grants and OMB circular knowledge;
- Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team;
- Must have good written and verbal skills;
- Must have good critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Travel Requirements:
Travel requirements for the position includes (10 % local and 10% overnight).
