What We Do:

OhioMHAS operates regional psychiatric hospitals in six locations across the state that operate 365/24/7. Our specialized facilities provide short-term, intensive treatment to patients in both inpatient and community-supported environments. We also deliver comprehensive care to patients committed through the criminal justice system.

Salary Information:

$22.50 – $27.73

Work Hours:

8:00 am – 4:30 pm (Flexible based on operational need)

What You’ll Do:

Under the direct supervision of an independent social worker (LISW) or a social worker (LSW), a Social Work Assistant may perform the following job duties: Completion of patient social work assessments, including documentation in the electronic client record & obtaining of collateral information for ongoing treatment. Coordinates & assists with discharge planning for assigned caseload, including completion of discharge documentation as required; facilitation of referrals for continuity of care, including fax transmission of referral packets & follow up calls on referrals. Assist in facilitation of patient groups & documentation in the electronic client record. Assist with escorts for discharge & facilitation/visual observation of patients for court evaluations/special visitations in-person or virtually. Assist with processing of patient commissary request forms & clothing/property requests. Attends & participates in training sessions, department procedure & policy review meetings; completes other duties &/or activities as assigned.

Qualifications
Requires current registration as Social Work Assistant as issued by State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker & Marriage & Family Therapist Board in accordance with ORC 4757.29.
