Role description:
Arcadis is currently seeking a business leader to lead our US Mobility Advisory Division in our Global Business Area – Mobility. This position can be based out of any of our US offices.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the continued development of Arcadis US Mobility Advisory business, while supporting the implementation of the global Mobility Advisory Strategy. You will drive business development, brand enhancement, and advisory capability and capacity growth. You will also manage the associated P&L to grow revenue and ensure enhanced EBITA levels at above 15%.
In addition, we are looking for you to take an active leadership role with both the project teams and the business, while providing direction and technical advice and leading by example. You will help promote both the local and global culture of the business. You will engage with the global Mobility Advisory Service lead to enable global collaboration and provide Arcadis North US resources for Service Expert Groups and associated activities.
Role accountabilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for client relationships and sales, business operations and meeting financial goals, and leading and growing engaging teams while championing diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in all actions.
- Business development activity focused on client types including Transportation Authorities (local, regional and state-wide), Private Transportation Operators, Developers and Investors
- Leading the development of the most relevant market propositions around the focus services for Mobility Advisory including Project Assessments, Master Planning Services, Multimodal Corridor Studies, Efficiency and Improvement services, Transportation Planning and New Mobility Advisory
- Working with the Business Area Director for Mobility US, as well as other business leads to develop and implement the long-term strategy for the development of the Arcadis US Mobility Business
- Actively enhancing the Mobility Advisory service brand presence of Arcadis in its chosen markets through driving and personally supporting insight-led marketing activity
- Build and maintain a strong and relevant client network; Growing and managing a team of relevant capability across the region
- Providing input into, and engagement with, the implementation of the company’s strategy and vision, business plan and re-forecasts, for the Business Area and Business Unit.
- Ensuring projects perform in line with expectations through regular project reviews
- Building effective and enduring relationships with other Arcadis teams, locally and globally, as well as external bodies, to foster collaboration, maximize cross-sell and trade-up opportunities, and to eliminate silo behavior
- Developing the team to its full potential, building strong engagement and morale
- Ensuring delivery of sector actions resulting from Employee Engagement Survey
- Optimizing staff performance through proactive involvement in recruitment, retention and performance management
- Liaise with the global Arcadis business to add to and leverage global insight and expertise during both the pursuit and delivery phases of projects.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree related to Mobility Advisory
- 10 + years of experience senior technical expert in the field of Mobility Advisory including leading teams and communities to deliver improved service and revenue growth
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in leading client-side consultancy commissions and working in a tendered Technical Advisory / Management Consultancy services environment
- Well-developed commercial skills, including familiarity with contractual conditions and procedures, and experience of taking commercial responsibility for major projects and businesses
- Experienced in leading large teams from varied backgrounds and cultures

This position is eligible for participating in a company bonus program. The salary range for this position is $126750 – 242938 / year.
