Arcadis seeks a Construction Audit Manager to join the team in Selma, CA to oversee the continued improvement of the project through identifying and ensuring areas of improvement are addressed and that comprehensive and verifiable corrective action plans are implemented.

Role description:
The Construction Audit Manager will coordinate and oversee contractor and internal audits regarding, processes, and practices, against contractual requirements. This may include visits to job sites, or other contractor facilities in the area. In this position, you will take a lead role on all aspects of audit engagements, from planning to completion, to include mentoring of staff and building/maintaining relationships with internal departments, contractors, and stakeholders.
Role Accountabilities:
- Utilize data gathered from internal audits to design monthly training courses for the continuous development of your team. These courses should aim to enhance their skills and knowledge in areas identified as needing improvement.
- Serve as a point of contact between external audit teams, Arcadis (your organization), and the contractor. Foster quality communication and collaboration among these parties to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process.
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate audits of different departments involved in the project. Your goal is to ensure that these departments comply with job specifications and contractual requirements. This involves thorough examination of their processes, practices, and adherence to relevant standards.
- Take an active role in developing your staff members by designing and implementing monthly in-house training programs. These programs should address specific areas for improvement identified through audits and aim to enhance their skills and knowledge in quality oversight and compliance.
- Create, organize, and maintain audit documents throughout the entire duration of the project. This includes keeping track of audit findings, corrective actions, and any other relevant information. Proper documentation is crucial for maintaining transparency, accountability, and reference purposes.
- Ensure that any audit non-conformances identified are promptly and appropriately communicated to the relevant parties. You are responsible for ensuring that the responsible party addresses these non-conformances effectively through comprehensive and verifiable corrective and preventive action plans.
- Assist in identifying and addressing the root causes of audit non-conformances. Through a thorough analysis, provide recommendations that effectively address the underlying issues to prevent future non-conformances.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of work-related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely- related field.
Key Skills and Attributes:
- The Audit Manager should have advanced knowledge of internal auditing methods. This includes understanding audit processes, techniques, and standards used to assess and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, compliance, and risk management within an organization.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding contracts and construction specifications is crucial for the role. This entails the ability to comprehend complex legal and technical language in contracts and specifications related to construction projects.
- Strong understanding of engineering and construction standards and principles.
- Extensive experience in transportation engineering and construction is highly preferred, particularly in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools is important for overseeing and managing quality audit projects. This includes understanding project lifecycle, planning, scheduling, risk management, and other project management concepts and techniques.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to navigate and use a computer effectively, including familiarity with project SharePoint, is necessary for accessing and managing project-related information, documents, and collaboration platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One of the following audit certifications is preferred: CQA, CQAP, CIA, AACE
- Experience with ISO Quality Auditing procedures preferred.
- Knowledge of ACI, ASTM, JTCP, or ICC construction standards is preferred.

We offer seven paid holidays and potentially up to two floating holidays per calendar year depending on start date, and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $122000 – $177000.
