Support Technician

Currently, we are searching for a Support Technician, Federal Contract to join our team. This role will require onsite work in our Client’s office located in Philadelphia. Annual salary of $50,000 – $65,000

Job Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include: Assist with AV, VOIP and Voicemail system support for Regional users; front line phone and on-site support to ensure systems are fully operational; monitor, resolve, and document trouble requests for proper and timely completion; write user friendly AV documentation, user guides, and procedures; recommend hardware and software to meet specific user and regional requirements; develop instructional material for AV topics; meet and work with staff on individual projects; assist other AV services staff with AV related questions and problems; investigate, analyze, and learn new and emerging technologies which have potential application in the regional environment; work independently; and perform other duties as assigned.
• Follow proper operating procedures and make recommendations for improvement
• Diagnose and resolve AV software and hardware problems
• Serve as the first point of contact for AV work requests and incidents and assist telecom tasks
• Inspect AV systems to ensure operation and availability
• Provide thorough and courteous customer service through phone, email, or walk-in requests
• Be ready to assist users with IT/AV related problems when called upon
• Perform office visits as necessary to resolve trouble requests
• Track, prioritize and document requests using a designated Ticketing system
• Install and configure AV equipment as requested
• Identify problems and repair AV system components
• Keep track of AV supplies and equipment and Maintain inventory of AV hardware
• Communicate relevant advances in AV hardware, software, and usage techniques.

Minimum Job Qualifications:
• 1-3 years of work history, with an emphasis on reliability and dependability.
• A working knowledge of using and supporting personal computers; general knowledge of the principles of administration, organization, and technical report writing; demonstrated ability to analyze data; reason logically.
• Preferred but not required: Ability to communicate computer concepts to all levels of users; read and write at a level appropriate to the duties of this position; and adjust to change (i.e., work environment, technology).
• Preferred but not required: Knowledge and skills that would normally be obtained in a two year college degree in Telephony, computer science, information systems, educational technology, communications, or a related training in telecommunications.
• Preferred but not required: Some experience performing technical computer support
• Trustworthy with good interpersonal skills.
• A fantastic, customer-centric, can-do attitude is the most important qualification for this position. We can, and will, train the right person who is willing to learn and take direction well.
