WHAT WILL YOU DO:
The primary function of an Account Clerk II involves the preparation, review, auditing and processing of financial and statistical records, reports and claims.
THE PERFECT MATCH:
Will have the ability to effectively use patience and courtesy in dealing with coworkers and the public; possess the ability to assess situations involving rules and regulations while demonstrating good judgment; be proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook; able to locate, identify and correct inaccurate or incomplete data; work with other County agencies; prioritize, plan and organize one’s own work.

AS AN ACCOUNT CLERK II YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Apply your experience and knowledge of financial and numerical record keeping; check, balance and reconcile cash statements and computerized reports; prepare and assist in preparing reports; handle money transactions such as collecting and disbursing monies and other negotiable items; process accounts payable; answer telephone calls to provide, elicit or verify information; operate automated systems to accurately enter and retrieve information; make travel arrangements.

Education, Experience & Licenses
In addition to the education and experience requirements specified in the Merit Systems/Cooperative Personnel Services classification specification, Tehama County requires:
- Equivalent to completion of the twelfth (12th) grade.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
One (1) year of full-time clerical accounting experience performing fiscal or statistical work in an office environment.
OR
Equivalent to thirty (30) semester units or forty-five (45) quarter units that included coursework in basic financial and statistical recordkeeping practices and procedures; mathematics such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, fractions, and percentages; or computer applications and spreadsheet software.
License and Special Requirements:
- Requires a valid California driver’s license.
- Current, less than one (1) year old, valid typing certificate.
