Amazon’s Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide secure, high-speed, low-latency broadband network connectivity to unserved and underserved communities, businesses and governments around the world.
If you are someone who wants to play an active role in one of Amazons most audacious business plans, the rapidly growing space economy, building industry leading marketing, and delivering solutions for problems enterprise customers may not even know they have, keep reading.
We’re looking for an experienced product marketing leader who is equally entrepreneurial as creative. Someone who wants the thrill of autonomously influencing dozens of business stakeholders and decision-makers, in as many organizations. At Project Kuiper, the Enterprise Marketing team will define our end-to-end product go-to-market (GTM) strategy for multiple industries and segments to deliver outsized value for enterprise customers globally.
This is a rare opportunity to shape the global customer funnel, and the core connectivity products and services before the launch of a service. The Kuiper Marketing team will deliver everything from broad awareness and bold thought leadership to white glove executive programs in order to acquire and retain long term, high value customers.
Key job responsibilities
-Define a product marketing strategy where Kuiper Marketing and AWS will collaborate and leverage each business’ marketing channels to bring products to market, acquire, delight and retain customers.
-Work backwards from customers’ needs through 1st and 3rd party research to become the expert in B2B product messaging and positioning, pricing, as well as competitive and industry insights.
-Frequently write and update impactful, motivating product and solutions messaging, positioning, and narratives to be used across the acquisition journey.
-Build, measure and refine product and service launches leveraging external and Amazon owned and operated marketing channels to achieve highly qualified marketing leads.
-Autonomously build strong alliances across other Amazon enterprise focused businesses units in order to develop compelling joint GTM.
-Communicate regularly with executive leadership, business development and product management on audience insights, product marketing strategies, customer adoption progress, program execution and long-term planning.
-Partner with internal and external agencies and counterparts in brand, digital and event marketing to deliver against plans.
-Some travel is required for customer visits, demo’s, content development, training and trade shows.
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
A day in the life
The Worldwide Principal Product Marketing Manager (PMM) is a highly visible, high impact role on the Kuiper Enterprise Marketing team. This flexible leader will set the overall PMM strategy, balancing daily execution of writing, customer research, message testing, product reviews, GTM planning, content development and more, with the rapidly changing needs of a pre-launched portfolio of connectivity services. This person will thrive by working independently with large, cross functional teams inside and outside Amazon, while working directly with our largest and most exacting customers. This marketer will enjoy creating clarity and transparency in ambiguous situations, and the end-to-end ownership over product launch strategy and execution.
