We are looking for a customer obsessed Sr /Principal Product Manager Technical to lead and drive the definition, delivery and global launch of customer taste personas to drive Prime Video Personalization.

As a Principal Product Manager Technical on our fast growing and quickly evolving Personalization & Discovery Product & Data Science team, you will own defining and driving personality-based personalization, developing deep understanding of customer psychographics and building taste clusters of video streaming preferences. These are then used to refine personalization for our 200+ million member base. As the Principal PMT for Taste Personas, you’ll be innovating and solving real world problems at the confluence of engineering, machine learning, and business, driving long-term customer engagement, and retention by delivering in depth video streaming tastes to which we personalize Amazon vast library of content . Key job responsibilities

* Leading with vision and change to bring new or evolve existing personalization innovation for PV business lines.

* Owning, iterating on and aligning with stakeholders on key working backwards artifacts (PRFAQs, BRDs) and team’s roadmap, while balancing competing priorities, anticipate and make trade-offs on current and future business needs versus customer desires.

* Driving trade-offs due to constraints, while anticipating bottlenecks, providing escalation management and resolving ambiguity, balance competing priorities, and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment

* Collaborating with technical (SDM, SDEs, QAE, AS, DS), non-technical partners (UX, QA, BizOps), and global business leaders (TVOD, AVOD, PVC, IMDBTV and more) to engage customers while balancing business share of voice through novel, relevant and fresh personalization experiences.

* Teaming up with other PMs to create product synergies and enable new product opportunities (creating reusable APIs and enablers for other teams to leverage pursuing customer value).

A day in the life

* Daily collaboration with engineering, applied science and data science teams driving development of products and features forward.

* Daily/Weekly interactions with UX team developing new product and design requirements.

* Daily / Weekly interactions with Amazon Studios and customer research teams

* Daily/Weekly communications with global Business lines teams (including PVC, TVOD, and AVOD teams) through a number of key mechanisms (weekly business review, intake).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 2+ years of end to end product delivery experience

– 8+ years of technical product or program management experience

– Bachelor’s degree

– Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

– Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

– Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

– Experience technical product management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements

– Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $144,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
