Job Description
Our student communications team is looking for an energetic pacesetter who can keep us focused and organized.
You will guide all eight team members through daily work of current projects, plan for future projects, and identify efficiencies all around. As a leader on the team, you’ll be clarifying roles, assigning tasks, and understanding priorities. Our workflow will be in your hands, and you’ll keep the team on track and ensure we get projects done thoroughly, efficiently, and on time using our project management system.
You can easily translate campaign strategies into projects and then breakdown those projects into clear tasks. You’ll make adjustments and coach through them. You’ll set expectations – and then subtly hedge them. Our clients will look to you for updates and bring you new requests. You will communicate clearly to a variety of roles, from task completers to divisional leadership and articulate clearly and professionally in all forms.
Our team aims to produce the best and most efficient marketing and communications campaigns to support Enrollment Management, including university-wide recruitment, recruitment travel, prospective student campus visits, and transactional communications to current students. We specialize in the design and production of targeted print materials (publications, postcards, letters, event invitations, posters, envelopes). Our work also includes mailings, emails, digital content and text messages. Our team is highly efficient, collaborative, kind, and energetic. We are a team where all ideas warrant discussion, no viewpoint is discouraged, and everyone gets a seat at the table.
Job Responsibilities:
- Guides all team members through daily work of current projects. Answers clarifying questions, ensures each team member has sufficient workload, and articulates priorities.
- Plans for and anticipates future (recurring) projects and incorporates them into the overall body of work.
- Processes client requests and communicates with clients to understand priorities, objectives and timelines for their projects and requests. Distributes tasks for these projects across the team.
- Develops, with other team leaders, and implements team workflows.
- Administers our project management software according to determined workflow. This includes designing templates and projects, building projects and campaigns, and assigning tasks.
Skills and Traits:
- Easily translates campaign strategies into projects and tasks and simplifies processes while tying multiple pieces together.
- Determines when to adjust and when to hold firm regarding timelines, assignments, projects, campaigns, etc. due to workload.
- Coaches team members through project changes and adjustments.
- Possesses excellent written and oral communication skills, articulates clearly and professionally via email, Teams chat, and inside the project management system.
- Communicates clearly in writing (via emails and chat) to a variety of roles, from task completers to divisional leadership
Salary
Salary Range: $50,400-$52,000
Grade: GGS 010

M-F 8am-5pm
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
- Highly proficient in Microsoft O365, including SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
- Expert knowledge of a project management system, Wrike or Clickup desired.
- Proven track record of organizing and guiding a team’s work.
- Experience with strategic communications and/or marketing campaign development
