Overview
The Senior Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for managing a full range of administrative and event support functions across all areas of the Food & Beverage Dept. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, administrative and event execution support of Managers in Beverage, Catering and Concessions in the Convention Center and Arena as required.
The Senior Food & Beverage Manager must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events per business need.
This role will pay a salary of $55,000.

Responsibilities
- Train, motivate and evaluate staff; provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline and termination procedures.
- Exercise direct supervision and oversight to all front-line and back-of-house concession staff.
- Oversee the management of all venue Food and Beverage operations before, during and after the event.
- Monitor the functioning, maintenance, and upkeep of equipment.
- Cash handling responsibilities include assignment of cash banks, cash and stand sheet reconciliations, stand closings, and deposits.
- Work closely with the public by answering complaints and monitoring guest services provided.
- Oversee food and beverage production for all food and beverage areas.
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease expenses, streamline work processes, improve the customer experience.
- Ensure that all venue policies, procedures, and practices are adhered to, including compliance with alcohol service and food handling/sanitation guidelines, general safety policies and procedures.
- Complete post-event evaluations, data compilation, tracking of monetary and product shortages, generating reports.
- Serves as a resource for POS applications, training, and hardware problems.
- Conduct planning, staff, and operational meetings; and provide a high level of oversight and operational expertise resulting in the smooth, efficient, and profitable execution of events.
- Interpret and apply all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Cover any open position to assure the location is fully operational and company standards pertaining to speed of service and guest satisfaction are met.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Communicate clearly and concisely in the English language, both orally and in writing
- Possess a valid nationally recognized, advanced food service sanitation training course certification and Alcohol Service Permit if required by the state or local government.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain a valid drivers’ license.
- Ability to multitask, organize, and focus on customer service.

- Modern office methods, procedures, and equipment.
- Proficient knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; training in industry specific software will be provided.
- Modern kitchen/food & beverage equipment
- Accurate financial reporting
- Knowledge of operating procedures of a public assembly facility
- Budget preparation and control
- Monitor and control costs (i.e., labor costs, beverage costs, supplies and equipment).
- Generate end of night paperwork for events including invoices
- Ability to maintain positive and professional relationships with vendors, contractors, and clients.
- Collect data from multiple sources to assist generating P&L’s, franchise season reports, catering activity recaps and sales reports.
- Helps support the Director with direction of Food & Beverage staff.
- Ability to keep appropriate records.
- Ensure that all Food & Beverage employees are current with appropriate food handling permits and alcohol serving permits.
- Ability to organize, orchestrate and communicate any last-minute changes or details to functions.
- Maintain the highest level of strict confidentiality on highly sensitive, private and/or proprietary information, without exception. Requires the highest moral and ethical standards regarding access and use of company files, reports, and systems.

- Assist Director of Food & Beverage in overall day-to-day operations.
Qualifications
- 5+ Experience working in a management capacity in a high volume fast-paced restaurant or catering environment.
- Capable of operating in Microsoft Office applications including: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Ability to supervise the work of others.
- Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
- Ability to speak, read and write in English.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
- Possess valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations.
- Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
- Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation and product inventory.
- 2 year degree in Business Management or Hospitality preferred but will consider relevant work experience.
