Shipping Clerk (Admin)

The Administrative Assistant position will perform duties of routine clerical and administrative support as well as implement administrative systems, procedures and policies, and monitor administrative projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, organize and perform general administrative/reception duties to include excel input, copying, answering telephones, and filing as needed.
  • Directs all walk-in traffic. Keeps track of outgoing truck logs and sign ins.
  • Gathers, sorts, and distributes incoming and outgoing mail within the department.
  • Shipping – Creates CN shipments in EDI and invoices. Also invoices for freight on Revenue cars.
  • Prints BOL and does invoicing on outgoing truck loads.
  • Submit payroll hour information to temp agencies.
  • Enters CREO shipments and invoices, then reconciles at month end.
  • Maintains spreadsheet on employee attendance & points.
  • Maintains/updates employee bulletin boards.
  • Does overtime report for month end.
  • Maintaining department files.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Five years of Administrative Assistant/Executive Assistant experience supporting management staff in a professional corporate office environment.
  • License/Certification: NA

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, SAP Software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication Skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task
