The OA Division of Personnel is looking for a dynamic individual to join our Strategy & People Analytics team to support the financial efforts of the Division and our talent management programs. If you possess strong financial skills and enjoy helping others, we want you to join our team!
What you’ll do:
- Engage with OA team members on a daily basis to promote a quality customer experience in-person, by phone, and through email in a professional, accurate, and timely manner in accordance with the agency or Division of Personnel policy and procedure;
- Perform clerical functions in the preparation, maintenance, recording, and examination of financial data;
- Perform work in accordance with established rules/regulations/post orders/specific instructions and receiving general administrative direction;
- Maintain fiscal records requiring limited knowledge of governmental accounting methods in accordance with established procedures;
- Compile information relative to supplies, office equipment, replacement or additions to equipment, etc.
- Obtain quotes/bids for commodities, equipment, and services;
- Initiate/prepare/oversee within defined limits, the preparation and processing of supply requisitions, travel expense accounts, agency invoices, and purchase orders;
- Reconcile purchasing card statements, prepare documentation, and process payments with accurate coding;
- Review financial documents for accuracy and identifying discrepancies/taking authorized corrective action;
- Generate and compile routine financial reports/maintain financial files/compile financial information;
- Enter purchase orders, compare purchase orders and delivery receipts, receive items in MissouriBuys, and process payments in MissouriBUYS and SAM II Financial under the proper document type;
- Establish and maintain an electronic filing system;
- Develop and maintain financial spreadsheets and databases;
- Educate team members on OA financial policies, procedures, statutes, and regulations.
- Work with caterers to order food, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed, for department meetings, trainings, and other agency events;
- Perform other related work as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from high school or high school equivalency.
- Two (2) years of relevant experience; substitutions may be allowed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to maintain and demonstrate a professional, positive attitude.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Division professionals of all levels.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Adobe products.
- Must work well both independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
- Time-management skills with the ability to prioritize assignments to meet deadlines and the ability to demonstrate regular and dependable attendance.
- Ability to review financial documents for accuracy with attention to detail, make mathematic calculations and identify and resolve transactional issues.
- Ability to maintain automated and manual financial records.
- Experience in financial management with MissouriBUYS and SAM II Financial knowledge
- Knowledge of governmental purchasing procedures and statutes, accounting procedures, and office methods and practices, as well as knowledge of basic research methods related to financial transactions.
