This position would be required to report to our CPFA location.
Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School is a state-wide, public (tuition-free) K-12 online charter school with a substantial number of students. Our teachers are part of an educational team whose innovative approach to education is providing a dynamic learning experience for students across the state of Pennsylvania through cyber education. All teachers report to work throughout our various locations in Pennsylvania.

The Center for Performing and Fine Arts (CPFA) is an audition-based program for middle and high school students (Grades 6-12). Students attend two days a week (Middle School attends on Mondays and Wednesdays; High School attends on Tuesdays and Thursdays). We offer a pre-professional program in Music, Theatre, Dance, and Fine Arts.
Summary:
The Daily Substitute will provide day to day Teacher on-call coverage due to a teacher absence in any of the four areas of Music, Theatre, Dance, or Fine Arts. Extensive knowledge of all four fields is not required; however, professional or educational experience in one or more of the areas is necessary.
Essential Duties:
- Conduct live in-person classes following a sub lesson plan.
- Supervise students as requested during breaks and lunch periods.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor’s Degree required, Instructional I Educational Certification is a plus
- Current (dated within a year) Act 34, 114, and 151 clearances
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to follow established policies and procedures
- Able to work independently and effectively with other team members
- Good team player and very reliable in working without close supervision
Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands:
- Physical: Normal vision, speech, hearing, walking, sitting, standing, lifting, stooping, bending, grasping, keyboarding, and filing ability
- Mental: Positive Attitude, analyzing, problem solving, decision making, and writing.
- Environmental: Online, office, blended school environment
