The CCIU is currently offering a sign on bonus of up to $1,500 for candidates who apply and are subsequently hired for a position between March 16, 2023, and October 31, 2023. More information will be shared with eligible individuals at the time of hire.
At the present time, one Licensed Practical Nurse vacancy exists within the Student Services division of the Chester County Intermediate Unit, located at the Child & Career Development Center in Coatesville, PA.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Administer tube feedings.
- Administer medications as prescribed by a doctor on a daily basis.
- Documentation of prescription medication administration to students in electronic medical system.
- Implement seizure precautions and treatments.
- Attend field trips and community-based trips.
- Provide tracheostomy care and, if needed, replacement of tracheostomy tube.
- Support with toileting routines in the nurse’s office.
- Provide first aid and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
- Implement nursing care plans as prescribed.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing required OR LPN program completed
- Current registered nurse licensure required OR LPN licensure required
- Experience working with special needs children preferred.
- Current police, child abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances required (must be dated within one year of hire date).
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 7.5 hours per day; 210 days per year.
Salary:
Rate depends on if the successful candidate is a RN or an LPN.
LPN Rates: Support Hay Band 11: $21.68 – $27.10 – // $34,146 – $42,682
RN Rates: Support, Band 13: $27.38 – $34.23 per hour // $43,123 – $53,912
