As a Senior Manager I, you will be part of a strategic and fast-growing team for Walmart Connect. Part of the Media Insights team, you will help drive strategic analysis of omni-channel campaigns of some of the largest advertisers in the world. Leveraging tools like Tableau and SQL, you will derive both tactical and strategic insights and communicate them back to both internal and external stakeholders. You will also be the thought leader of innovation in Media Insights space. You need technical knowledge on R, Python, GCP, SQL to guide your team and brainstorm on solutions.
Position Description
- The Senior Manager I, Advanced Analytics will lead a team that manages the interpretation, analytics reporting, and analysis for key insights & performance recommendations with Walmart advertisers.
- From strategy, planning, and campaign completion, you and your team will deliver clarity to advertisers and partners who are seeking causal insights and measurement impact.
- You and your team will perform hands-on analysis and conduct in-depth investigations with the team, lead & execute end-to-end measurement projects, and make actionable recommendations to the business.
- Assist process improvement initiatives to scale data and measurement solutions.
- Contribute with building measurement/analytics tools and platforms reflect the best and most appropriate solutions available.
Business Partnerships:
- Internal – consults with senior leadership/ business partners (e.g., Sr. Directors/Directors) to understand goals/functional objectives, understand and identify key business opportunities and formulate ideas to mitigate current and future business challenges/issues; confirms functional research objectives and oversees development of tactical research plans.
- External – supports external stakeholders (i.e. Advertisers and Partners) with Media Insights solutions to provide measurement impact and value added insights. Leads client-facing analysis, including on and off-site presentations, drives data-driven best practices and recommendations.
- Seamlessly manages supporting WMC Advertisers with Media Insights solutions, and leading innovation track internally
- Serves as a subject matter expert to the business and advertisers on media performance measurement.
Thought Leadership:
- Thought Leader for innovation and enhancement to add value to Walmart Connect’s solutions utilizing the wealth of data available at their disposal.
- Takes ownership of technical initiatives & discussions. Represents Media Insights in meetings with various cross functional teams across Walmart Connect.
- Grows existing solutions such as benchmarks, impression share, competitive analysis, etc. to the next level through innovation and evolving industry standards.
- Owns multiple projects end-to-end for a business area, category, or prototype. Manages risk associated with implementation.
- Maintains resources of up-to-date capabilities, including how-to manuals, methodology and process documentations, also sunsets outdated resources
Proof of Concept and Prototype:
- Manages the development and implementation of prototypes and production-ready complex algorithms for multiple projects.
- Manages the testing and validation process to monitor the solution.
Data Collection and Analysis:
- Manages the development and application of analytical solutions to address unique business and technical problems, and support data-driven decision making.
- Makes strategic recommendations to the leadership based on data analysis.
- Supports more experienced team members with the development of data analysis strategies; participates in strategy development conversations.
- Collaborates with Advanced Analytics Experts to develop new data analysis techniques.
Model Development:
- Develops data models (algorithms, approaches) for multiple projects within a business area or category to drive business results and value.
- Collaborates with project team to implement modeling solutions.
Collaboration and Project Management:
- Collaborates with functional leadership and cross-functional teams (e.g., Categories, Customer Experience, Merchandising) to develop consultative solutions for multiple projects for a business area, category or prototype.
- Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.
- Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.
- Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

The annual salary range for this position is $128,000.00-$192,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:
– Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)
– Stock equity incentives
