Your Role:

Tenable is currently seeking a Billing Analyst to provide valuable support to our global billing operations. We are looking for an exceptional candidate with a keen eye for detail and excel in analytical thinking, demonstrating a knack for innovative problem-solving. At Tenable, we embrace a dynamic work environment that combines the flexibility of remote work with regular in-office collaboration on a weekly basis. Additionally, this role involves dedicated periods at our headquarters to efficiently handle end-of-month and end-of-quarter processing. The position will be based out of our headquarters in Columbia, MD, offering a prime location for professional growth.

Your Opportunity:

  • Prepare detailed sales orders for processing, aligning with company procedures and standards
  • Analyze daily product fulfillment and invoicing of customer orders for software subscriptions, hardware, and licenses for automation discrepancies
  • Identify, investigate and resolve billing issues with the assistance of Sales, Sales Operations, Product, Finance and Technology teams to analyze errors and trace back to root cause
  • Review distributor and reseller sales transactions processed through high velocity channel portals
  • Maintain and update customer records in billing system, ensuring high data accuracy and integrity
  • Identify and assist with implementing continuous improvement in the Billing Operation process including automation, system integration, coordination with internal teams and customers to achieve timely, efficient and accurate billings at scale
  • Ensure customer orders are structured in accordance with internal policies and procedures, with a focus on maintaining internal controls and SOX compliance
  • Assist customers and reseller/distributors as needed to ensure accurate translation of contract and billing information
  • Participate in on-going learning and professional development

What You’ll Need:

  • 1-2+ years of billing operations experience, preferably in a SaaS or subscription software environment
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail with a focus on efficiency and problem solving
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with internal and external customers as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Business, Information Technology or Finance or equivalent work experience
  • Involves dedicated periods at our headquarters to support end-of-month and end-of-quarter processing

And Ideally:

  • Salesforce, NetSuite and Tableau system experience
  • A candidate with proven technical skills, preferably in the software or technology industry

The base hourly range for this position is $26.92 – $35.89 USD. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, location and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. Employees are also eligible for variable compensation in addition to base pay (commission for sales roles, bonus for non-sales roles), depending on company and individual performance.
