The HVAC controls Lead assumes a vital responsibility in upholding indoor air quality, ensuring comfort, and prioritizing safety.
Compensation Range
- $35.00 – $45.00 + Benefits Package

Position Description:
The HVAC Controls Lead will operate and maintain electromechanical building equipment through the controller process and supervise the assembly, installation, repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems and equipment.
Position Qualifications:
- Associate degree in HVAC or Electrical from a technical college or a combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of DDC controls, calibration, and proper use of test equipment to verify performance.
- 6 years of experience operating and maintaining electromechanical building equipment as either an HVAC mechanic, electrician, maintenance mechanic, or maintenance manager.
- 4 years of experience operating HVAC building automation control systems.
- 3 years of related supervisory experience
- Ability to install HVAC equipment controllers and perform basic setup protocols.
- Ability to read, understand and communicate in English
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Associate degree in HVAC or Electrical from a technical college or experience equivalent above the required 8 years of experience.
- Strong computer skills (internet, email, electronic manual, etc.)
- Ability to learn additional programs as needed.
- Valid driver’s license.
PreferredQualifications:
- Having the capacity to obtain additional certifications in HVAC licensing.
Essential Duties:
- Collaborates with HVAC technicians, outside mechanical engineers and vendors to ensure equipment is installed properly and commissioned to operate with the building automation controls system.
- Maintains controls systems and components
- Documents work through the CMMS system.
- Maintains BAS system backups and records and the BAS server.
- Installs and commissions equipment and system level controllers.
- Assists in preventive maintenance, repair, and operation of HVAC systems.
- Assists with construction/remodel plan reviews and installations of HVAC projects.
- Assists in long-range planning of equipment renewals and replacements and energy efficiency capital improvements.
- Routine tracking in the CMMS work order system
- Supervise day-to-day HVAC controls operations
