General Statement of Duties

Forsyth County Human Resources is seeking a dedicated, highly innovative, forward thinking Sr. Talent Development Consultant to join a dynamic team and great place to work! The work this new team member will perform will prove to be both rewarding and challenging each day.

This position creates, develops, implements, and conducts training and development programs for the organization. Promotes a continuous improvement and learning culture through the identification of gaps and opportunities in materials, methods, and technology. Additionally, the Sr. Talent and Development Consultant will be expected to identify and utilize in-house developmental/training program(s), as well as maintain positive relationships with internal and external vendors and resources. This role will be responsible for troubleshooting and isolating performance gaps with department leaders and the Deputy Human Resources Director.

Distinguishing Features
The Sr. Talent and Development Consultant will assess, design and/or conduct training and development programs to improve individual and organizational performance. This position provides analysis and make recommendations based on needs assessments and assists the Deputy HR Director with creating a training strategy for the County. The position requires excellent organization, presentation, analytical, problem solving, and facilitation skills.

The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

– Master’s degree in human resources specializing in Talent and Development, Organizational Development, Education, Sociology, Psychology, or related field.

– Considerable knowledge of the structure of governmental entities

– Training or Human Resources Professional Certification (CPTD, APTD, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP)

– Experience with Human Capital Management (HCM) oracle LMS

– DiSC Certification or strong working knowledge of DiSC

– Working knowledge of Myer’s Briggs

– Conflict Resolution

– Executive Level Coaching

– Demonstrated project management experience, managing details and keeping multiple projects on task

– Previous experience with HRDQ products

– Previous experience with Blanchard product (SLII)

Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources specializing in Talent and Development, Organizational Development, Education, Sociology, Psychology, or Business or related field. At least four years of experience related to adult education in developing curricula, presentation skills, coaching, data analysis, and management. At least 2 years managing others or demonstrated ability to lead others.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
– Assist with the marketing and branding of training programs through the organization to enhance employee awareness and participation.
– Works in partnership with the Deputy Director on development of the Training Strategy.
– Strategically links organizational goals and objectives to appropriate learning interventions to promote greater organizational effectiveness.
– Consult with departments to address identified performance problems and recommends, develops and delivers appropriate learning solutions
– Develops and delivers training programs and teambuilding activities.
– Develops and delivers both traditional classroom and online training using research, subject matter experts, or other knowledge sources to create effective original training programs customized to meet the specific needs of the organization on a wide variety of topics.
– Evaluates and identifies opportunities and methods to enhance e-learning and Learning Management System (LMS) programs and processes.
– Identifies meaningful ways to measure the effectiveness of various training solutions provided to the organization.
– Assist Deputy HR Director with managing the training equipment, training budget and supplies.
– Obtain, organize, or develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials.
– Utilizes a variety of adult learning methods to train and develop staff.
– High level of dependability is required.
– Perform related work as required
