Job Summary

The Government Security Operations (GSO) with NetApp is seeking a Contract Program Security Officer who will have a primary role in providing day-to-day support of operations with Industrial Security programs. The role will serve as the Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) and will be responsible for working with the GSO team in the administration of classified activities associated with the NetApp US Public Sector.

This position has administrative responsibilities associated with compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and Intelligence Community Directives. Expert knowledge of Personnel Security is required as well as the ability to navigate the Intelligence Community. Additionally, this position will ensure compliance within NetApp’s GSO by conducting internal audits as well as supporting external audits conducted by the US Government and/or other external groups or agencies as directed. The Contract Program Security Officer will administer a variety of tasks to ensure GSO compliance with established Government requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Administer Industrial Security Programs in compliance with Intelligence Community Directives, 32 CFR Part 117
  • Collaborate with the corporate Industrial Security team on various security requirements
  • Develop, implement, and monitor SCI security policies and procedures
  • Leverage the Government Security Operations Center (GSOC) for security-related tasks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with all government agencies, partner company security teams, and program managers
  • Assist personnel in completing SF86 packages, e-QIP, fingerprinting, and periodic reinvestigations of employees
  • Analyze and draft DD254s and deliver presentations as needed
  • Utilize DISS, ACCS, NISS, and other government sites
  • Create reports and maintain documents throughout the clearance process
  • Conduct self-inspections of cleared facilities, identify deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions
  • Execute new hire security briefings, exit interviews, and debriefings
  • Investigate and report security violations and incidents
  • Maintain all security documentation and files in accordance with government requirements
  • Support safeguarding, classification management, physical security, and security education
  • Identify and address current and potential problem areas and update or establish new requirements
  • Identify security risks and recommend risk mitigation strategies
  • Basic knowledge of NISPOM Chapter 8 and ICD 703
  • Basic knowledge of Information Assurance
  • Provide oversight of secure spaces

Job Requirements

  • Must have current TS/SCI with Full Lifestyle Polygraph
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to evolving environments
  • Up to 20% travel required
  • 5+ years of experience in CSSO/FSO role; ISSM/ISSO experience desired
  • ICD Contractor Special Security Officer Certification
  • COMSEC experience
  • Facility Security Officer certification required or willingness to obtain
  • CSSO Course Completion desired
  • Knowledge of International Security is considered a plus
  • Extensive experience in U.S. Government, DoD, Intelligence, and Industrial Security management

Education & Experience

  • Typically requires 5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent experience

The base salary hiring wage range for this position which the Company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position in the specified geographic areas or locations is $113,000 – $138,000. Final compensation will be dependent on various factors relevant to the position and candidate such as geographical location, candidate qualifications, certifications, relevant job-related work experience, education, skillset, and other relevant business and organizational factors, consistent with applicable law. In addition, the position may include some of the following comprehensive benefits such as Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Paid Time off (PTO), sick time, leave of absence as per the FMLA, and other relevant leave laws, Company bonus/commission, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s).
