Meet the team:
As a leader of the risk function, reporting through the collective finance organization, you get the opportunity to support our rapidly growing company to maintain industry leadership. The Director, Enterprise Risk Management will report to the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and facilitate all risk management program activities including the annual enterprise-wide risk assessment process to identify Dexcom’s highest priority risks that could impede the achievement of the enterprise’s operational imperatives and strategic goals. The role spans the landscape from alignment with the Board of Directors and Management through the Risk Committee to the partnership across the organization cross functionally to drive awareness and action to address the risks Dexcom faces. The position partners with cross-functional leaders to ensure that risk mitigation action plans are developed, implemented and maintained as well as monitors ongoing risks and mitigation.
Where you come in:
You are responsible for the leadership, governance and innovation around the Company’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program, including the ongoing identification, evaluation, mitigation and management of company’s financial, operational, compliance and strategic risk.
- You get to lead and manage the ERM Program as well as other critical risk management functions, including Crisis Management and Business Continuity Programs.
- Leads the development, enhancement and regular maintenance of the ERM framework to keep up to date and in-line with industry best practice, including risk appetite, operational risk, policy and procedures, and reporting
- You directs risk assessment practices and procedures, as well as an annual risk prioritization process. Ensures assessments are conducted and coordinated with various departments to identify new/emerging risks and evaluate their potential impact on enterprise interests and objectives.
- You are able to facilitate the development of business or process risk assessments, in conjunction with the business unit owners.
- Develops and implements crisis management playbook as well as tabletop exercises to functionally test the crisis management plan. Ensures through the annual budget and assessment process organization is appropriately responding to risks.
- You participate in the development of business continuity plans across the enterprise
- Develops valuable and positive relationships with the business functions.
- Works cross functionally with relevant parties and Internal Audit on process improvement projects to enhance control environment.
- Assists in ad-hoc projects when needed.
- Prepare materials and escalate risks to facilitate decision making discussions for relevant management and governance committees; including quarterly reporting, and periodic updates of existing risks and procedures.
- Be the primary advocate, subject matter expert, and resource for the organization with respect to ERM-specific policies and procedures and assist with the creation of training or support, as deemed necessary, to various stakeholders in order to drive awareness and understanding of enterprise-wide risk.
- Escalate significant risk issues to the appropriate risk committees and monitor corrective actions to address issues, where needed.

- You have the ability to be the primary advocate, subject matter expert, and resource for the organization with respect to ERM-specific policies and procedures and assist with the creation of training or support, as deemed necessary, to various stakeholders in order to drive awareness and understanding of enterprise-wide risk
- You have the capability to be a self starter and drive outcomes that help the business navigate through an incredible period of growth
- Nice to have a background in medical device, or other similar field, with an understanding of the related risks generally found in this industry

Exempt Salary Details:
The annual base salary range for this role is $149,000.00 to $248,300.00. Final compensation package will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, business needs and market demand.
Flex Workplace:
Your primary location will be a home office. You will not have an assigned workstation and will work with your manager to determine office visit needs. You must live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km).
Experience and Education
- Typically requires a Bachelors degree with 15+ years of industry experience.
- 9+ years of successful management experience in relevant industry.
