General Purpose
Youth Soccer Site Coordinator oversees soccer program at their designated site (Calahan, Leddy, or Roosevelt.) Prior experience in a leadership position and working with children in athletics camp/program setting is desirable. Must be available on Sunday afternoons, from 12-5 pm, from August 27 – October 15.
Essential Job Functions
- Oversee Fun Day and youth league games.
- Assist Athletic Program Manager in supervising volunteer coaches, referees and officiate as needed.
- Assist Athletic Program Manager in conducting sports-specific youth clinics.
- Check area for safety hazards and report deficiencies to supervisor.
- Report all accidents/incidents occurring within jurisdiction to supervisor.
- Administer proper First Aid as required.
- Required to be on site 30 minutes before the program starts for set up/preparation and to ensure that the playing area is safe and ready for use (e.g. chairs, tables, goals, sand bags, flags).
- Required to tear down and clean up at the conclusion of program.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Attend staff meetings and staff trainings as required.
- Fair and courteous treatment of all participants, coaches and spectators.
- Communicate with participants, volunteers, referees and other staff in a professional manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements

- Previous experience working with children in a group or individualized situation preferred.
- High school Diploma or equivalent required.
- College course work in Education, childhood development, family studies, or recreation preferred.
- Ability to supervise and organize groups of children for activity programs.
- Knowledge of sport specific rules and regulations.
- A cooperative attitude and a team player.
- Follow all departmental and rules and regulations.
- Must be able to effectively enforce rules and code of conduct.
- Must have a desire to work with children and demonstrate enthusiasm, dependability, and good communication skills.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision.
- Hold or obtain current CPR/AED certification upon hiring.
- Ability to understand and comply with City standards, safety rules and personnel policies.
