The Boeing Company, known for the manufacture of the most popular aircraft in the world, also provided world class software to support the aviation industry. This division of Boeing, named Digital Aviation Services (DAS), is responsible for supporting over 80 different software products and solutions. We develop innovative optimization solutions for the world’s leading airlines. You will lead the integration program for all Flight Operations software products offered by DAS. We are looking for a Flight Operations Chief of Staff in Englewood CO (relocation available).

As the Chief of Staff, your job is to schedule and coordinate key integration activities between business leaders, product managers, and software engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Active and equal participant of the Flight Operations Leadership Team.
  • Oversees, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for the Flight Operations portfolio.
  • Directs and provides high level studies/analysis (trend, variance, impact), determines scope, reports, and oversight of planning requests.
  • Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops software mitigation planning and refines the business case.
  • Develops and executes the software process and strategy for the integration of plans and schedules.
  • Consults and recommends integrated software planning, scheduling, change and baseline management, processes, techniques and tools to management considered to be best practices across the industry to include Agile methodologies.
  • Recognized as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
  • Authorizes commitment of resources by obtaining approvals from stakeholders.
  • Oversees deployment of approved recommendations at Division, Business Unit, and/or Enterprise levels.
  • Skilled in managing distributed teams (culturally, logistically, etc.)

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite in the Englewood CO location. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 10 yrs experience Project management
  • 5 years leadership experience (Management not required).
  • Travel is a requirement and is estimated to be at 10-20%.
  • 10 Years software development related position
  • Must have flexible work hours as you will be meeting with stakeholders in multiple regions.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Demonstrated understanding of the aviation industry and airline operations
  • Technical understanding of Digital Aviation Solutions products and services

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years’ related work experience, 19 years’ related work experience, etc.)

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Summary pay range: $141,950.00-$192,050.00
