**This position will be located on site, 5 days per week at our lab in Lexington, MA**

YOUR ROLE

  • As a product development chemist is responsible for making new polymer/coating/adhesive/additive
  • This role requires in depth understanding of synthesis, characterization, and testing from early to late stages of products
  • The successful candidate provides day-to-day R&D support and input into development strategies, selection of synthetic routes, scale-up and characterization/testing of new product development processes
  • Fully manage and lead product analysis and testing while documenting progress and results in the LIM systems
  • Develop and engage in new product development (polymer, coating, adhesive, and additive) daily-basis.
  • Make valuable contributions to assessment of the newly developed products (mechanical, chemical testing)
  • Work safely day-to-day in the laboratory
  • Demonstrate processes safely in the laboratory, pilot and manufacturing
  • Report results to collaborators and management both verbally and in writing

YOUR SKILLS

  • Masters Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
  • 5 years relevant experience
  • Experience with analytical techniques such as HPLC, GPC, NMR, FTIR, MS are preferred.
  • Knowledge in Design of Experiments (DOE), computational chemistry, and statistical analysis is a plus.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of chemical synthesis and formulation is a plus.

The salary for this role is $70,000- $85,000. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
