Project Manager – Industry, SEC, and Professional Practice Office- Open on location- Minneapolis, Chicago or Philadelphia preferred locations
The Project Manager supports the leadership of the Industry, SEC, and Professional Practice Office (PPO) teams within the National Standards Professional Group (NPSG) with management of complex projects and/or strategic initiatives. The Project Manager will also serve as the curriculum director for Industry and SEC. The role requires a broad understanding and experience of implementing project management principles and concepts applied to large projects or client engagements, while also contributing to general operational activities and continuous process improvement. Successful candidates must be able to continuously monitor, support and evolve complex project plans, providing leadership with the necessary guidance and updates to ensure project success. Responsibilities and Duties:
- Strategically manage projects for various stakeholders to ensure business needs are met with insight from leadership.
- Define a program and/or project’s scope, goals, schedule, available resources and deliverables.
- Ensure the business deliverables and goals for a particular project or program are met in a timely and efficient manner.
- Manage program and project risks / issues. Recognize and determine the appropriate corrective action(s) to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget and scope.
- Work closely with project leads to operationally plan, devise, and execute planning and project management cycles to support development milestones determined by leadership.
- Create and maintain connections with key stakeholders and/or teams to implement strategic initiatives that optimize current knowledge sharing platforms and overall interactions with clients.
- Proactively seek ways to drive efficiency and growth among project teams within the national office and the audit line of business.
- Lead Industry and SEC learning needs assessments, drive overall NPSG learning strategy downstream, and serve as a knowledgeable learning resource for the team
- Serve as the main point of contact for Industry and SEC on learning needs to the Audit Learning Leader and LPD contacts as needed
- Assist in the implementation of learning strategy in courses and learning elements owned and delivered by Industry and SEC
- Identify opportunities for and facilitate collaboration on coursework that can cross team boundaries
- Collaborate with other Curriculum Leaders and the Audit Learning Leader in identifying opportunities for growth and improvement in Industry and SEC learning
- Identify and execute appropriate communication methods to provide the appropriate stakeholders with the status of projects.
- Consistently and accurately, review and maintain documentation to identify, evaluate, scope, plan, monitor, and follow up on active projects.
- Provide effective guidance to employees and/or team members through planning appropriate resources and communicating performance expectations.
- Effectively delegate / leverage project team members to help meet business objectives.
- Communicate performance expectations; provide real-time project feedback, coaching, training, career development activities.
- May serve as a career advisor to office services employees and/or mentor to other project team members
- Partner with firm related resources, develop and assist execution of various LOB conferences and internal/external events.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business related field, or equivalent experience required
- Minimum of five years relevant work experience
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience managing multiple projects or engagements of moderate to high risk
- Ability to supervise, direct, and review the results of the program, projects, or assignments
- Ability to lead by understanding team dynamics, and support, affect, and implement change
- Facilitate program discussions with senior management and business stakeholders
- Ability to travel (up to 15%)
- Skillset to serve as a career advisor, team lead, mentor, or informal career coach
Preferred Qualifications:
- Audit knowledge and experience
- Experience with Smartsheet, MS Project or related Project Management tools
- PMP certification
- CPA license

Compensation Range: $87,800 – $162,200
