The Mergers & Acquisition Partnerships, Senior Advisor will support the Utility Scale Renewable Development business in the U.S. and Canada by managing the strategy development process for the operating areas in addition to supporting the global business planning process.
This position is eligible to sit in Chicago, IL, Santa Barbara, CA, San Francisco, CA, Houston, TX, or Denver, CO and will report to the Vice President of Commercial Strategy.
What you’ll do:
- Primary responsibility is to be a leader on the Commercial Strategy team in the Utility Scale Renewable Development business; guiding and performing cross-functional work and analysis that supports the growth and stated objectives of the business
- Synthesize research from 3rd party providers as well internal groups at ENGIE into coherent and inclusive research and guidance
- Support the strategy development and revision process by designing workstreams and running cross functional meetings and workshops that engage constituents and stakeholders across the business
- Support the M&A team on transactions, process development, process management and market entry plans
- Work with leadership team to develop critical questions and scope special projects to address key business needs and solutions to perceived obstacles
- Develop and maintain, with other groups, commercial and competitive intelligence
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, science, engineering or similar technical or analytics based program
- A minimum ten (10) years’ experience with a preference for those with previous energy industry experience in increasing levels of responsibility at a developer, utility, bank, investor, or similar market participant
- Outstanding analytical skills and demonstrated expertise in developing and utilizing detailed, Excel-based, financial models
- Energy market experience and expertise
- Commercial acumen in addition to deep analytic and/or technical capabilities
- Ability to design processes and execute programs within a cross functional environment
- Proven flexible team player who works well with others
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to multitask and to work effectively under pressure
- Behavioral capabilities: self-motivated, problem solving, strong personality and leadership, common sense, attention to detail, ability to learn and sense of humor

- Salary Range: $120,700-$307,190, annually
- Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors
- In addition to salary, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan
