Here’s a summary of responsibilities:

Reporting to the Associate Director, Team Member & Executive Communications, the Coordinator, Team Member Communications, coordinates communication initiatives aimed at building continuity, trust and celebrating U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) team members in and around the organization. The Coordinator is responsible for assisting the planning and implementation of the communications strategy, channels, and initiatives focused on the team member experience, including engagement, opportunities for involvement, and information-sharing efforts.

Here’s how you’ll have an impact:

  • Play a key role in the USOPC’s team member communications strategy and efforts, including managing staff communications, quarterly Town Hall materials, evolving communications platforms, communications calendar, and ongoing listening and feedback mechanisms.
  • Oversee and execute USOPC team member and stakeholder communications, including weekly newsletter and Annual Impact Planning newsletter, all-staff chat channel, and Team Talks.
  • Work in collaboration with the USOPC’s People & Culture team on team member communication needs to develop materials, systems, and templates to support organization-wide messages, objectives, trainings, programs, and offerings.
  • Partner across the Communications team to develop and execute team member and constituent communications strategies for various USOPC programs and initiatives.
  • Support organizational impact storytelling via editorial content on public-facing USOPC.org. Serve as a content author and support content development and edits via a content management system.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of communications initiatives for key internal and stakeholder events, including staff gatherings, quarterly staff town halls, and the annual stakeholder Assembly.
  • Assist with managing team member communications calendar, including but not limited to, key Town Hall meetings, internal celebrations, holiday messages, and moments of recognition.
  • Lead internal efforts to identify key industry awards and develop nominations for the USOPC, its programs, and team members.
  • Update and monitor usage of the USOPC Style Guide, in collaboration with other Communications and Marketing team members.
  • Assist with team member and constituent communications, services, and Games preparation in the lead-up and during the Olympic, Paralympic, Pan American, and/or Parapan American Games.
  • Partner across Communications team to manage Communications email inbox and incoming inquiries.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with various key campaigns, research projects, and other duties as assigned.

Here are the skills and experience you’ll need to be effective:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in corporate communications, sports, and/or entertainment public relations

Here are some things that will make you super competitive for this role:

  • Familiarity with Olympic and Paralympic Movements preferred
  • Graphic design experience preferred

  • Hybrid-based role in Colorado Springs, with remote work options available.

Here’s some more information you need to know:

  • Hiring Pay Range: $22.14 – $26.02
  • Ability to travel when required
  • This is a full-time, non-exempt position intended to work 40 hours per week.
  • Bonus: This position will be eligible for the Annual Incentive Award Program at a 5% target. This program is subject to change or elimination by the USOPC at any time at its sole discretion.
