Amazon’s Fire TV (FTV) is an industry-leading media experience, and one of the most innovative and fastest growing businesses in consumer electronics, driving the transformation of media entertainment into streaming. We are seeking a passionate product leader to build and grow on our success, driving our global product strategy and vision, our short and long-term product roadmap, and end-to-end customer experience for the Fire TV industry solutions and 3rd party engagements. Our team is focused on bringing Fire TV to every device, with every manufacturer, building scalable global media experiences, focused on external services for 3P Manufacturers.
In this role you will be a manager of managers, leading global product and program teams, establishing strategy and delivery to drive the overall business. You will lead all aspects of product development, build high quality product teams and be responsible for a P&L. You will work with tier-1 large global customers to create an architectural vision for scale and growth in a fast-growing business.
Key job responsibilities
The Director of Product is responsible for leading all of the organization’s regular business cycles, including annual planning (OP1), executive level program reviews, goal-setting, as well as the delivery and review of product roadmaps across the service’s diverse set of customers.
A key part of this role requires close collaboration with other senior leaders across Amazon and the devices org, ensuring that Fire TVs 3P product strategy and program execution helps build toward innovative enterprise experiences, and spins Amazon’s flywheel. Key responsibilities include:
• Creating, sponsoring and driving organization commitment for the product vision and roadmap for Fire TV 3P products.
• Developing products that represents the best customer experience available in the market and offers a unique value proposition. Success here will be a function of incredible attention to every detail of every element of the customer experience.
• Leading and driving a matrixed team to speed ideation, planning, design, and development of new products and features across the organization
• Leading and executing product management through strong influence and collaboration across delivery resources.
• Partnering with other functions, including engineering, marketing, and content to produce the best quality product, services, and applications as a team.
• Creating and driving the internationalization of our products to ensure a compelling customer experience and value proposition in each market we enter.
• Ultimately delivering breakthrough products that exceed customer expectations and surpass all competitor offerings, that meet or exceed the unit volume and financial economic goals for the product line.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical field.
• 15+ years of product management experience with a demonstrated ability to drive highly compelling consumer product offerings.
• 7+ years of direct consumer-focused entertainment services with extensive product and partner management experience.
• 10+ years as a people manager of both individual contributor and manager roles – able to inspire, coach, develop, and grow geographically dispersed, high-performing cross-functional teams – including engineering & analytics – to deliver products and projects on tight deadlines.
• Experience directly managing or working closely with engineering to define user experience work processes and practices which lead to efficient, consistent, and high-quality product.
• Embodies an incredible passion for consumer products, digital media and services subject matter, applications, and content.
• Has brought a large-scale consumer product to market, successfully.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Our ideal candidate will have successfully led multiple, major, worldwide, technology-enabled products or services. He/she will be customer obsessed, data hungry, and comfortable advocating for your plans and explaining business results to our company’s most senior executives. Perhaps most importantly, this leader will have a passion for technology and delighting customers around the globe with new and innovative products and services.
• MBA or master’s degree in related discipline
• Executive-level product ownership including product definition, multiple release cycles, and adoption success
• Experience with completion of full enterprise product lifecycle (concept through GTM, including pricing and partner ecosystems)
• Technical skills and a track record of shipping high-performance software to a wide range of customers at high velocity
• Demonstrated success leading through influence, building engagement, and partnering across organizations at the highest level, including engineering and design teams
• Finance related skills relating to P&L management
• History of supporting decisions through business analysis and data, while maintaining a balance with intuition and creativity
• Experience navigating and working successfully within a complex, matrixed environment
• Experience in driving out cost and complexity in products, while maintaining a strong customer experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $237,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $350,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
