Principal TPM, Amazon Global Communities

Amazon Global Communities (AGC) is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to own our roadmap planning process, liaise with our third-party (3P) tech stack partner, and lead the automation of cumbersome workflows. At AGC, our mission is simple: drive engagement, advocacy and business success among the critical functions in Amazon’s Last and Middle Mile logistics networks. We do this by building digital communities that connect, inform, and inspire the ecosystem of entrepreneurs and business owners who partner with Amazon to improve delivery flexibility, speed and reliability for our customers. Key job responsibilities

In this role, you will define, own and drive technical workflows that reduce the manual work of core team members. You will improve code efficacy by designing appropriate monitors, alarms and testing suites. You will leverage high-judgement in determining risks, trade-offs, opportunity cost, and benefits in prioritizing work for our 3P tech partner. Finally, you will lead a team of 30+ through quarterly planning and hold all stakeholders accountable to a high throughput by developing flashes, monthly business updates, and other mechanisms. As a technical leader, you will influence strategy and outcomes across Last and Middle Mile programs.

The right candidate will possess a strong program management background, will have high judgement and follow-through, and will have a well-rounded background in current web technologies. This role will inform strategic initiatives, and will require you to own projects from ideation to execution and delivery. This role is inherently cross-functional and requires a strong ability to project manage, communicate, influence and earn the trust of software engineers, product teammates, stakeholders, and business leadership.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

– 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

– 7+ years of technical program management experience

– 5+ years of software development experience

– Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience

– Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $141,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
