The Director, Paid Search will be responsible for driving successful strategy of digital programs as well as supervising Paid Search and other Paid activities across the Performance marketing team. This person will work closely with account team leads and our vendor partners in the research, development, implementation, and management of paid marketing campaigns that surpass our clients’ business goals and expectations. Key functions include supporting the definition of media strategy, overseeing and being hands-on with execution of successful campaigns, primarily focused on Paid Search, eComm & Retail Media channels, and YouTube. General ability to seamlessly integrate into holistic Paid Media strategies is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Develop integrated strategies focused on client business outcomes leveraging Paid Search, eComm, Retail Media, and other Paid (Social, Display, Native) channels
- Oversee and drive Paid Search strategy, implementation, and operational excellence across growing key client portfolio against various client objectives and KPIs
- Guide and develop junior staff members into self-sufficient planning/buying experts
- Interpret performance reports to craft meaningful story and insights for clients
- Act as day-to-day contact for client and/or account leads where needed, collaborating cross-functionally with other members within the Performance and account teams
- Build and maintain relationships with key vendors, platforms, and technology partners
- Monitor latest trends in digital advertising to improve campaign performance and provide recommendations on how clients can best leverage new tools and services
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 7+ years of relevant experience in Paid Search/digital marketing, preferably in advertising
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Self-starter with a strong ability to embrace an entrepreneurial spirit, successfully managing multiple projects within the context of an evolving, deadline-driven environment
- Advanced knowledge of Google Ads, Search Ads 360, Microsoft Ads, Google Analytics, and various eComm and Retail Media platforms, including latest industry trends and updates
- Experience managing campaigns for various objectives, including but not limited to conversion, lead generation and direct-response campaigns
- Advanced knowledge of web analytics software such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics
- Experience developing customized analytics reporting and knowledge of 3rd party tracking and ad serving technology
- Strong data analytics and Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience developing and managing multi-million-dollar ad campaigns
- Client service background with strong oral communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage and motivate junior staff
- Experience in Prisma and/or media buying and management systems
- Ability to develop paid media strategies and tactical plans that meet client goals
- Track record of successfully managing and growing multiple client accounts
- Strong aptitude for back-end business growth and new business opportunities
- Comprehensive knowledge of the entire online marketing ecosystem, including ability to speak to all digital channels outside of direct expertise, such as Display, Native, and Paid Social
- Expertise with audience research processes and tools such as Google keyword planner, SEMRush or Ahrefs
$86,000 – $133,000 a year
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
