Manager, Performance Analytics

Edelman is seeking a Manager of Analytics who will be responsible for analytics and measurement across marketing channels, with an increased focus on Social (Paid Social and Organic Social).

This role will be responsible for overseeing campaign measurement and other client-facing analytics and measurement deliverables and initiatives, such as measurement planning, benchmarking, data management, and automation, etc., by gathering and aggregating data from native and third-party media platforms to provide meaningful insights and recommendations that inform strategic and tactical optimizations and decisions. The Manager of Analytics will understand and define how marketing and media optimizations and strategy are reflected in data, helping clients and internal stakeholders separate signal from noise. The Manager of Analytics may also be requested to support social media listening and website-specific reporting.

Responsibilities:

    • Independently gather, aggregate, and analyze digital media and marketing data to provide meaningful insights and recommendations for agency clients regarding cross-channel campaign measurement, paid/owned media strategies, etc.
    • Manipulate, analyze, and interpret large datasets from multiple sources, including native media platforms and third-party data sources.
    • Accurately evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of paid and owned media campaign performance.
    • Inform campaign/activation goals and develop KPIs, benchmarks, and measurement frameworks as part of broader planning.
    • Effectively communicate and present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
    • Disseminate and present reporting deliverables as a storyteller, working to uncover and tie analytical insights to client strategy and planning initiatives.
    • Occasionally use social media listening tools to turn real-time monitoring data into thoughtful insights/learnings with actionable recommendations.
    • Demonstrate diligence, attention to detail, and adherence to best practices.
    • Stay up to date and have an informed opinion on industry trends, technologies, and pertinent research as well as relevant platform updates.
    • Collaborate with Performance Marketing, Digital Strategy, Creative, Planning teams to inform measurement strategy, data management and capture requirements, and guide decision-making.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with internal account teams.
    • Participate in internal and external status meetings, as well as be comfortable in a client-facing role.
    • Promote a culture of data automation and operational efficiency

Basic Qualifications:

    • 4+ years of relevant professional experience working in performance marketing, social and digital advertising, or marketing/consumer research.
    • Bachelor or graduate degree in communication, advertising, marketing, business, statistics, mathematics, or similar discipline from an accredited post-secondary institution.

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Understanding of basic and key data analysis and mathematical concepts, digital advertising and social media metrics, data collection methodologies, and digital/performance marketing concepts.
    • Expertise collecting, analyzing, and communicating paid and organic social media data and campaign measurement results.
    • Demonstrated ability to independently work with large data sets across multiple data sources, natively and/or third-party data platforms.
    • Knowledge of cross-channel performance analytics with technical understanding of web analytics, ad-serving, and data management platforms such as Google Tag Manager, Google DFA, and Google Analytics.
    • Strong knowledge of the social media landscape, including emerging platforms and best practices.
    • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with proven ability to deliver actionable insights and recommendations.
    • Proficient with Tableau, Power BI, or other business intelligence and data visualization software is preferred.
    • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

$69,000 – $108,000 a year

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
