In our Leawood, Kansas office, we are seeking a highly talented and driven Reporting Analyst to join our dynamic, high-performing team focused on the managing, defining and designing of reporting requirements with an industry leading business unit, Institutional Life (IL). IL offers sophisticated life insurance products in the Bank Owned Life Insurance (BOLI), Corporate Owned Life Insurance (COLI) and Corporate Sponsored markets.
This role is on the Case Management Policy Accounting and Reporting team which is responsible for working closely with all IL Business Units to identify and define reporting requirements. As a Reporting Analyst, you should be a highly organized, detail-oriented problem solver that has a track record of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
This position requires the ability to think independently and exercise initiative within a structured environment. Primary Responsibilities include:
- Planning – Participate in determining IL’s reporting vision
- Contribute to Roadmap for data and reporting
- Define reports and dashboards related to strategic initiatives
- Manage Reporting Requests
- Define reporting needs or enhancements based on input from IL teams and managers
- Design reporting requirements and communicate to Tableau developers
- Assist with creation, validation and testing of developed reports before delivery to users
- Provide training on reports and dashboards available within Tableau and/or Salesforce
- Generate scheduled reporting, adhoc reporting, and trend analysis when appropriate
Job Requirements:
- Prior data analytics and reporting experience
- Insurance experience a plus
- Advanced Excel skills is required
- Tableau and Salesforce knowledge is a plus
- Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task without supervision
- Ability to work effectively and act as a resource with other IL business units, various levels of management, systems analysts, and Corporate Finance
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or at least 3-5 years equivalent related experience
