The Audio-Visual (AV) Support Associate will be responsible for providing professional, effective and knowledgeable AV support to all customers utilizing AV/VC systems in Amazon. They will work closely with their immediate team members and other internal teams to troubleshoot issues with the AV infrastructure and work to resolve them in a timely manner. They will have an understanding of the broad variety of AV standards deployed at Amazon and be capable of resolving straightforward issues. They will have the communication skills to collaborate with peers and non-technical Amazonians in rapidly implementing workarounds to unblock meetings and events.
The successful AV Support Associate will be customer focused and take ownership for the break/fix tickets that come in to the queue. They will be innovative, energetic, and able to adapt to new processes and procedures quickly while dealing with day to day and ad-hoc customer requests. They will be committed, flexible and have demonstrated the ability to maintain high levels of productivity while being supervised. They will demonstrate strong initiative and genuine curiosity.
Key job responsibilities
• Review AV Meeting requests for requirements, and schedule appropriate team resources to support customer needs.
• Provide basic technical AV support to Amazon corporate employees.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot AV issues including analyzing the problem, identifying the appropriate resources, testing proposed fixes and following up to ensure the problem has been resolved
• Maintaining communication with customers and stakeholders through ticket documentation
• Collaborating on technical documentation and SOPs, incorporating field learning and customer feedback
• Provide productive feedback and process improvement ideas
• Ensure AV room functionality using preventative maintenance activities
• Ability to move equipment between storage and event rooms
• Daily travel between sites in the area required.
• Occasional out of hours work may be required

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 1+ years of corporate setting Windows, Mac or Linux Operating systems support experience
– High school or equivalent
– 1+ Years taking customer requests for Event support an translating those to technical requirements.
– 1+ Years Scheduling resources to support Meeting and Events.
– 1+ years of experience in the AV sector with a proven record of effectively troubleshooting or installing corporate AV systems
– Has troubleshooting, problem-solving and diagnosis skills with a basic understanding of signal flow
– Demonstrates excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, both oral and written
– Has strong prioritization and organizational skills with attention to detail
– Willing to work in a fast paced global environment where regional travel might be required
– Ability to work at height (<= 8 Feet); Work with basic hand tools – Safely Lift and Carry weight of 40 lbs PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience in a dynamic environment with a high degree of customer service
– Avixa CTS, CTS-I or CTS-D certification or equivalent
– Additional Certifications or formal training by AV manufacturers (e.g. Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, Cisco, Dante, etc.)
– Experience with Cisco, Crestron, Extron, Shure and/or Tesira hardware a plus
– Experience with network technology including video and audio over IP

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $36,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $91,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
