ETV Production and Digital Assistant
Eagan Television (ETV)
Pay: $29.00 – $36.74 per hour, DOQ
Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Benefit Eligible

ETV is seeking a creative and detail-oriented individual to join our team! The ETV Production and Digital Assistant will assist the ETV and Communications teams with a variety of tasks to efficiently complete projects and provide technical and administrative support. Work in a studio environment with a team of experienced and collaborative video professionals! This position also has opportunities to work remotely.

Essential Position Functions
In this position you will:
- Program and schedule all ETV channels
- Transmit schedules to third party electronic program guide
- Monitor and ensure that broadcasting software and equipment is functioning for playback on ETV channels
- Assist with shooting and editing videos
- Serve, as needed, as an ETV crewmember on priority shoots including city meetings, high school sports, graduations, and other productions and events
- Archive and maintain ETV productions and footage libraries
- Create content for ETV and City of Eagan social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)
- Assist with the management of ETV website content
- Assist with ETV Sports duties including archiving events, creating YouTube events and thumbnails, and basic graphic work
- Assist community producers and crews in the studio and with equipment rentals
- Work on team projects or other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
What’s Required for this Position?
- Associate’s or technical degree in any field
- Valid driver’s license
- Two (2) years of work experience in a similar position or related field
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite applications including Premiere Pro and Photoshop
- Experience working with and/or understanding of the major social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube in a professional setting
- Experience or education in basic graphic design techniques
- Experience or education in basic television studio operation
Desired Qualifications
You may be a good fit for this position if you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any field
- Previous experience with photography
- Previous experience with motion graphics/animations
- Previous experience with television programming or scheduling software

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Mostly indoor, with occasional outdoor work as required. Some required lifting/moving up to 50 pounds. Occasionally must climb, balance, bend, stoop, and kneel. Adequate vision to perform the essential functions of the job; specifically includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Hours and Schedules:
Primary hours of work will be 8:00 to 4:30 pm, with scheduled evenings and weekends as indicated by programming and event needs. May be required to report for duty on short notice in extenuating circumstances.
