Job Summary:
Maintain and monitor end-user workstations and enhance coworker productivity through the efficient use of technology. Perform a variety of maintenance, software installation, end-user support and training tasks to ensure end-user workstations and network performance meet company and user requirements. Provide support to staff on all company-supported applications. Troubleshoot computer problems, determine source and advise on appropriate action. Complete project-based work. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies and procedures.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Administers end-user workstations and supports end-user activities on a primarily Active Directory Microsoft Windows-based network.
• Primary point of contact for the help desk system. Reviews tickets and assigns them appropriately, including for general building maintenance issues.
• Investigates user problems and identifies their source; determines possible solutions; tests and implements solutions.
• Installs, configures and maintains personal computers, networks, cabling, phones, printers and other related equipment, devices and systems.
• Performs and/or oversees software and application installation and upgrades.
• Monitor and maintain network security, including host security, file permissions, file system integrity, and adding and deleting users.
• Troubleshoots networks, systems and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
• Develops and conducts various training and instruction for system users on operating systems and other applications; assists users in maximizing use of networks and computing systems.
• Maintains confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the end-users on the network.
• Assists personnel of other departments as a computer resource.
• Provides computer orientation to new and existing company staff.
• Carry out other such duties as assigned or requested.

Required Education and Experience:
• Education:
o High school degree or equivalent.
o Associates or technical degree in related field.
Preferred Education and Experience:
• Applicable work experience and/or technical certifications will be considered.
• Experience: 1-2 years experience performing help desk functions.

Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. An office environment is typical in this position, with occasional visits to the warehouse. The noise level is generally quiet.
Work Week:
Hours: 40 Days: Monday-Friday, varies between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Overtime: As Needed
