The Astria Health system, headquartered in the heart of the state of Washington’s wine country in the beautiful Yakima Valley, is the largest non-profit healthcare system based in Eastern Washington. Requirements
- At least two years recent experience in the clinical area(s) of assigned responsibility.
- Minimum three years leadership experience required.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, related science, or business admin.
- MSN or MBA preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of nursing principles and standards of care.
- Critical thinking skills and judgement .
- Demonstrated skills in communication, conflict resolution, and budgets.
- Ability to prepare reports, analyze statistics, and objectively assess staff member performance.
Licenses/Registrations/Certifications:
- Current WA State RN license.
- Current BLS or must obtain within two months.
- Must be willing to obtain credentials/certifications related to areas of assigned responsibility within two years of employment.
Summary
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The work requires regular and recurring physical exertion such as standing or walking for prolonged periods of time; frequent bending, reaching, stooping, crouching and stretching required during the normal course of the day. The employee must exert 10-20 pounds of force constantly to move objects and must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Requires frequent repetitive hand/wrist motions and finger manipulation. Requires normal/corrected vision and hearing to normal range. The work involves recurring exposure to moderate risks which require special safety and health precautions and the use of Personal Protective Equipment; risks such as exposure to contagious diseases, contaminated bodily fluids, sharp instruments, and other contaminants.
