Bilingual Human Resources Manager

Job Description

Our client, a large nation-wide recycling/waste management company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bilingual HR Manager to join their growing team! As the HR Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives across multiple locations.

This position is located in Rosemont, IL, and requires on-site presence five days a week. There will be 15% overnight travel and about 30% day trips to other local locations. The ideal Bilingual HR Manager will have a strong background in HR, employee relations and ADP Workforce Now, along with exceptional communication skills in both English and Spanish.

Bilingual HR Manager Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with senior management to identify HR needs and provide strategic guidance
  • Implement effective HR policies, procedures and programs to foster a positive work environment
  • Act as a point of contact for employee-related issues, ensuring fair and consistent resolution
  • Be the subject matter expert on all employee relations investigations
  • Promote employee engagement initiatives, including recognition programs, surveys and feedback channels
  • Provide guidance and support to supervisors and employees on HR-related matters
  • Implement performance management processes, including goal-setting, performance evaluations and career development plans
  • Identify training and development needs, coordinate training programs and facilitate employee skill enhancement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with training requirements and regulations
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of employment laws, regulations and best practices
  • Ensure HR policies and practices are compliant with federal, state and local laws
  • Utilize ADP Workforce Now system to manage HR functions, including payroll, benefits, time tracking and reporting

Bilingual HR Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or a related field
  • Must be bilingual in Spanish and English
  • 6+ years of progressive HR Management experience in a multi-site environment, overseeing HR for 500+ employees
  • Must have experience in an hourly workforce (manufacturing, distribution, logistics, etc.)
  • Ideally has experience in union environments
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred
  • Solid understanding of HR practices, employee relations and employment laws
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with diverse teams
  • Exceptional problem-solving, conflict resolution and decision-making abilities
