Job Description
Reporting to the Vice President of Academic & Student Affairs, this position supervises approximately 50-60 faculty and staff to:
• Provide leadership and oversight of all academic programs in the Business, Human Services, Information Technology, Public Safety and Customized Training departments.
• Work collaboratively with the Academic & Student Affairs Leadership Team to eliminate equity gaps and increase student success.
• Support teaching and learning programs, services, partnerships and personnel to serve students effectively.
• Support faculty in closing equity gaps as part of Minnesota State’s Equity 2030 goals.

Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in related discipline from a regionally accredited institution.
- Minimum of three years of related experience in education or higher education.
- Knowledge of innovative programs and pedagogy designed to serve diverse and nontraditional and adult students.
- Knowledge of trends, issues, and accepted practices relevant to assessment of prior student learning.
- Ability to organize time and diverse tasks, to write clearly, to conduct meetings, to direct others, and to follow up on tasks and projects.
- Demonstrated skill in working effectively with personnel conflicts and concerns.
- Experience in developing and administering budgets.
- Commitment to fostering diversity, equity and inclusion, and the ability to represent, communicate and collaborate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in related discipline from a regionally accredited institution.
- Demonstrated success in promoting the values of shared governance and participatory management.
- Knowledge of community and technical college organization, curriculum, goals, vision, system regulations and contracts, fiscal regulations and procedures.
- Demonstrated and proven record for accurately assessing emerging college, business and community needs for the purpose of cost-effective program development and implementation.
- Demonstrated skill in executing projects effectively.
